Everyone's writing about it now, but I have to say it. The Minister for Magic is dead. We never thought this day would come, yet...strategically, it's their best move yet. I have to say it. It sounds awful; I know it does. But take out a strong leader, and one weakens the enemy.
We cannot let it weaken us. That is the lesson I can give, the only one I know. We cannot let the destruction of our leader weaken us. Kingsley wasn't himself for quite some time now. We led ourselves effectively enough without his strong leadership; we cannot let his death drag us backward. Mourn him. Respect him for the man who he was. But we cannot let it weaken us. Who knows if they are planning to strike now, and if they are simply waiting for a moment of pure weakness on our end to do so again.
We know they struck once at the Leaky.
Could it be done again?
